Eastons Arrive...

Da-Mah + Pop-Pop arrived on Dec 26th.
Jake's mom+dad were going to go watch the Redskins,
but US Air got hold of us & the trip was cancelled. SO....we made the most of it.
Dec 28th was Mommy's Adoption Day.
We celebrated by taking a ride on the Carrie B.
Pop-Pop treated us to a boat ride along the intracoastal.
Jake loved being out on the water.
It was a bit chilly, so Jake spent some time inside with Da-Mah.
Our little boy isn't so little now is he?
Such a joy...and so MUCH FUN!

Christmas 2009...

Jake woke up on Christmas Day & was so excited. He got lots of cool presents from Santa Ho-Ho.
He slowly got the hang of opening all of the gifts.
He definitely had a few favorites.
I would say the trash truck won HANDS DOWN.
Way to go Santa...
We headed to Mimi+Bips's for brunch with the family.
Santa Ho-Ho came to their house too...
Jake LOVED the little playhouse.
The cousins loved it too...
This was one happy little boy.
Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve 2009...

Getting ready for Christmas Eve...How handsome!
We went to the family service at FPC.
Mommy, Uncle Mike and Jake sang pretty songs...
The cousins were all very good in church.
(thanks to Aunt KK's snacks)
The cousins at Mimi+Bip's house for our
'Happy Birthday Jesus' party.
At the end of the night, we all went outside to watch
for Santa's sleigh in the sky & check out Bip's outside display.

Jake gets his 1st haircut...

Jake got his first haircut at this cool shop. It's called Haircut Hangout in Hollywood.
Deny cut Jake's hair and was so great.
(did you see the plane he was sitting in?) Could he have gotten any cuter?
Or have been a better 'client'?
Our little handsome man!
Jake had to make sure that she got all of the lines right.
Jake did awesome and amazed us all.
(it must have been the planes)

Jake LOVES a train...

Jake was given a VERY SPECIAL train set last year. My godmother handed down her train set to our family.
Jake loved it last year, but REALLY LOVES it this year.
It is special both to Jake and to me. Thank you Linda.

Jake GETS IT...

I'm not sure how...but Jake gets the whole Santa Ho-Ho concept.
How does an 'almost 2' year old know about picking out presents? He sat right down at the table with a pen and said
'I want that one.....and that one....and that one'.
Oh boy...we are going to have so much fun this year on Christmas!

We did lots of cool things and Jake was such a trooper.

We played in the parks.....and even rode the 'Pink Pig' train at Lenox Mall..
He is always such a happy boy....well...almost always.
Mommy had fun showing him lots of new things.
...and who wouldn't have fun with this little kid?

Jake visit the Kid's Museum...

Jake and Mommy had a FUN Wednesday
Imagine it! The Children's Museum in ATL was amazing.
'Can you believe I am sitting on a TRACTOR?'
...and aren't I just so DARN CUTE!
(again...I'm on a tractor...I'm so excited)
'Did you see that I can also work a fork lift?'
Playing in the dirt INSIDE was pretty cool too...
Check out my fishing skills...
Jake's favorite might have been the electric trains.
...but this BIG CRANE might have come in a close 2nd.
So much to do....what a great place for us for the day!

Jake's week downtown ATL...

Jake didn't mind the view from our hotel room... Mom liked that it overlooked the Olympic Park.
Jake liked that it overlook Marietta Street.
We got a quick trip through the park before dinner.
Jake was a BIG FAN of Ted's Montana Grill.
He also really liked the accommodations at the Omni.
He was QUITE comfortable.
As you can see...we found LOTS of ways to
entertain ourselves throughout the week...
