Last Day of Swim Camp...

Jake & Coach Casey had a great week together.

(Sure it started off a little rough, but they got through it)

No tears this last day. 

It was all about showing off his SKILLS!

Ready, Set, GO!!!

A BIG HIGH FIVE for this awesome swimmer.

We even started working on his back stroke.

Did you see this BIG BOY?

Big arms & big legs makes one FAST WHALE.

Jake could swim to the wall, to the bench & to the ladder.

He could flip over from his back, jump off of the wall

or just plain SWIM!  We were SO AMAZED!

Coach Casey did awesome!

WE LOVE COACH CASEY!

(Jake even asked to take her to a Marlins game)

As a special reward...got got his own set of 'GODLES'.

(Just like Lila, Dee Dee and Uncle Mike's)

We are so PROUD of you our little swimmer.

We knew you would do awesome!

Jake's New Favorite Park...

Jake's New Favorite Place...Plantation Woods Park.

What a COOL place to be for all ages!

Playgrounds, pavilions, water play & BIG shade trees...

Jake was especially fond of the squirt toy.

The water toys were the best way to play

on this HOT summer day in July.

Ding, Ding, Ding...let's come back to this park soon.

Jake's 2nd Day of Swimming...

Jake learns to SWIM...

Jake began his first swim lesson at AquaChamps.

Coach Casey was his instructor for the week.

The 1st class started w/ Jake getting to pick his favorite toys... 

Then they practiced kicking...

(Jake was still a little nervous)

Even though Jake was a little scared, he did AWESOME.

Coach Casey knew just what to do & say.

The 1st DAY he was swimming!

He could swim to the side & grab onto the wall...

He could jump in, turn around & grab the side...
ALL BY HIMSELF.

He could float on his back & then flip over & swim to the side.

HE WAS AMAZING!

Jake took the class solo with Coach Casey.
During the class, Mom & Dad had to sit inside.

After class, Jake wanted to 'take off my bathing suit Mom'.

(He wanted to go home)

Our little boy was a little scared, but he DID AWESOME.

He was swimming like a 'WHALE' on the 2nd day.

Tears in the pool, but all smiles once we were together.

Jake, Cousins, Bips & The Lorax...

We had a special reading of 'The Lorax' by Bips.

Jake, Lily & Addy LOVED it!

It was very cool for mommy as Bips read

Jake's latest baseball craze...

The Schmidt Family invited us to a Friday night ballgame.

We watched Strasberg pitch...and win the game. 

Jake was such a trooper....he got his own baseball helmet.

He hasn't taken it off since.

Jake's 1st time bowling...

Jake's 1st trip to Manor Lanes to go  Bowling.

It was Douglas's birthday.

They kids all showed the parents how it was done.

Jake got to pick out his own ball.

Daddy gave him some pointers...

(as you can see, Daddy forgot his own ball & shoes)

Jake carried the ball to the lane 'ALL BY HIMSELF'.

And tossed it down just like a pro... 

Hannah was a big help!

Jake had a great time & wants to go bowling again soon.

He thinks he is ready to take on his Dad!

Jake's 3rd Annual Idlewyld Parade...

Mimi's Annual Idlewyld Parade.

Mimi has been putting on these parades for 30+ years now.

Mimi & Emily are telling Jake & Lily all about it.

We had a big crowd this year.

Thankfully it wasn't as hot as last year.

Of course...a game of baseball had to be had before the parade.

After the parade, we had a big celebration at Mimi's House.
