Jake meets more Schmidts...

Jake got to meet more of the Schmidt family.He LOVED playing with Aunt Debbie.
He showed Brad & Laine his favorite doggie.
Pop-Pop, Aunt Debbie & Jake played 'peek-a-boo' all night.
Jake got a bit tuckered out with all of that fun.

Gi-Gi gave him a big XOXO before bed time.
Grandma Karen helped him relax from a very busy day.

Jake meets 'Gi-Gi' Lorle Schmidt...

Yesterday I got to meet my great grandmother Lorle.

She told me to call her 'Gi-Gi'.
'My dad did WHAT? when he was my age?'

'I am going to be able to get away with ANYTHING

with a face like this and stories like those from Gi-Gi.'

Daddy was so excited for his grandma to meet Jake.
It's official, Jake has been inducted into the Schmidt Hall of Fame.

Today was a special day to celebrate my dad.

I love him very much.

This is our 1st Father's Day together!

We can't wait to try our veggies next week!

Jake tastes rice cereal...

Jake tried real food for the first time.
We got him all set up with his favorite bib.

He made some funny faces, but seemed to like the concept.
Hey, I might like this new stuff.
...maybe not. Maybe I just liked the spoon.
Rice Cereal of the bottle...which shall I choose?I think I liked the bottle better.
I think I will stick with my toes.

I am sure mom will try again tomorrow...

Jake loves to read...

Jake LOVES to read along to 'Elmo 'n' Daddy'.

He loves the colors in the boook... ...but even better he LOVES mommy's singing.
'Take me out to the ball game, Take me out with the crowd...'

Jake starts teething...

Jake has started teething.

He loves to drool and chew on everything.

We have good days...and better days...

...but Jake ALWAYS seems to smile.

Not only can I do one...

I can stick BOTH of my toes into my mouth.
Now that is a real talent!

Jake met some new Owen Family members...

Jake was introduced to his great grandmother Dona from Ohio.

Jake also got to meet his great uncle Chris & great aunt Karen.

Grandma Easton comes to visit...

while mom & dad are at work. Jake is so lucky!

It was her first Mother's Day!

We had a good day over at Grandma Owen's house.

She had a nice Mother's Day with all of her kids & grandkids.

Jake's 2nd Family Vacation

Our first stop...Spartanburg, SC.

We stopped to see Tip & Cathy Pitts at their office.

Jake loved looking at Tip's paintings.

Our next stop...Mills River, NC.

We drove to Camp Highlander for Lindley Barbee's wedding.

The Owen/Nicholson/DelNegri family all made the trip.

The new baby jogger came in very handy...

Jake thought Lindley looked so beautiful.

Our next stop...Tuckasegee, NC.

Off to visit the progress on the NC vacation house.
We have a bit more work to get done...

Oh, the good times we will have here...

Jake will be climbing all over the mountain in no time.

Our next stop...Salem, SC.

The Sheppard family hosted us this night.

They have a beautiful home on Lake Keowee.

We also got to visit with the King family.

Good times on the lake!

The next day we headed into Clemson.

Mom got me all dressed up for the big event. Jake got to rub Howard's Rock for good luck!

He loved Death Valley & can't wait to go to Clemson.

Our final stop...Charleston,SC.

Granny and Gramps came with us.

We stayed right next to the Market.

We did lots of walking & mommy took lots of pictures.

It was a nice vacation all together.

Jake is a fantastic traveler. He likes to be on-the-go.

...of course mom & dad do provide 1st class

accommodations for our little guy!
