Jake visits Grandma & Pop Pop...

Jake needed a little Grandma & Pop Pop time
so the family headed up to Summerfield.
Jake just LOVES riding in the cart.
We took a little ride over to feed the ducks.
(see all of the ducks zooming over)
Jake loves visiting Grandma & Pop Pop,
but can't wait until they live close by for longer visits.

Jake & Dad on Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day Dad!
For Father's Day, Jake took his dad to the Marlin's Game.
Jake took his Bips (and Mimi) too.
Actually, Aunt Ashley too us all in a ROCK STAR SUITE.
(It pays to have a celebrity in the family)
'Did you see the view from these seats?'-Jake
(not to mention the AC!)
...AND the private visit from Billy & Baby Marlin.
(and the cheerleaders)
Jake & Dad had a GREAT day together!
This kid takes baseball SERIOUSLY!
One would have thought it was Jake's Day.
Hooked up w/ a goodie bag...Check out these batting gloves?
Go Marlins!
(He NEVER left his seat)
Jake WILL own a team one day.
Just look into those eyes...the intensity!
After the Marlins beat the TB Rays, we went downstairs.
Jake got to run the bases down on the field.
Bips got to go with him.
Jake LOVED giving Baby Marlin 'high fives'.
(thanks for the jersey Schmidt family)
Thanks Aunt Ashley, YOU ROCK!

This KID...had a GREAT day!
(oh yeah, Happy Father's Day)

Jake's 1st Trip to the Movie Theater...

Mom & Dad took Jake to his 1st movie in a theater.
TOY STORY 3!
Brady and his parents came too.
The boys were very prepared with their toys.
'To infinity and beyond'-Buzz
'There's a snake in my boot'-Woody
Jake & Daddy gave it two thumbs up...
Jake & Brady had fun afterwards reenacting the movie.
Good old Buzz Light Year...What would we do without him?
(Jake was disappointed though that ZURG didn't get more face time)

Jake's Summer Days...

We have had a FUN Summer so far.
Jake & I call it our 'MOM-CATION'!
We have been learning how to make banana muffins...
('stir, stir mommy')
We have been learning how to grow our own tomatoes...
We have had fun MOPS play dates...
We have had fun pool parties...
(Jake really likes the one w/ pretty girls)
We have been on fun bike rides...
And of course...BASEBALL games!
Baseball is our new favorite pastime.
('You be the umpire mom & I will be the catcher...
...daddy, you be the batter)

Jake & Brady @ 'Pine Cone' Park...

It was a beautiful day at 'Pine Cone' Park.
(Ok, so maybe it was just a little hot)
Jake took a few practice swings before Brady arrived.
He was so excited to see his best pal Brady.
(especially since he brought his glove)
Not only did they play baseball, they tore up the playground.
Aren't these guys CUTE or what?
Jake had a great time!
The 'dads' told the 'soon to be dad' their secret hand shake.
Brady's mom brought bubbles...isn't she the coolest!
She is right behind Aunt Ashley...who IS the coolest!
What a great day together with friends.

Jake's 1st day at Happyland...

Jake started his first day at Happyland on June 1st.
Daddy made sure he knew exactly what was going to happen.
Jake was a littler nervous, but the baseball cap helped.
We brought our special McQueen lunch box & backpack.
Mommy even told Jake that she went to Happyland too.
And so did Aunt KK, Uncle RD, Uncle Mike and even BIPS.
Jake knew lots of friends from Sunday School.
(Mathew, Lucy and Abigail)
Jake is in Ms. Lindsey & Ms. Luisa's 2 year old, T/TH class.
We go to school at 9am & mommy picks him up at 1pm.
Mommy made sure Jake was all settled before we left.
He did great and only had a few tears.
Ms. Lindsey picked him right up and everything was OK.

Jake's Memorial Day...

Of course...the day started off with a little ball practice.
Like father, like son...
This is ONE HAPPY DAD.
It doesn't get much better than this.
Jake is such a fan of baseball...
...and oh so gosh darn CUTE!
After practice, we packed up our truck
for a Memorial Day family bike ride.
Jake was such the little helper.
Lots of work...
You can never be too safe you know.
After our 10 minute bike ride in the South Florida heat,
we headed to the pool with Uncle Mike.

Uncle Mike...one of the coolest.
Jake had a great day!
