Friday, Oct 1st daddy took us to the Marlins
last Friday night game of the 2009 season.
We had GREAT seats.
Jake was READY & WAITING.
This boy LOVES watching baseball.
Jake's favorite sports pal 'Bips' came too.
Did you see my prize from BINGO?
'Let's Go Marlins' (clap, clap, clap clap clap)
(even though Jake cheered his heart out, they lost to PIT 1-5)

Jake is quite popular with the ladies.
Addison & Abigail are 2 of his favorites.
Mathew is one of his best buds.
Wyatt is another.
Lucy is another one of his best pals.
But it all comes to ADDISON...his 'GIRLFRIEND'.

Jake visits Ding Darling...

Up and At 'Em...We had breakfast, checked out
& then headed to explore Ding Darling.
We decided to explore this time by car.
Jake, Mom & Dad all sported their Gator Gear.
(we had to be back by 3pm for the game)
Now if you were an animal, wouldn't you come out to see this face?
This was about all that we got to see...
We did get to climb a cool tower.
Our Family!
Check this out Jake...
Jake REALLY wanted to see an aligator.
We looked and looked...no alligators.
Our last adventure was to explore a shell mound trail.
Jake & Dad...my adventurers.
It was a great family vacation.  We will be back!

Sanibel, after our afternoon nap...

After the longest nap ever (we might have worn him out),
we started Round 2 of our Sanibel adventure.
We started out at the beach with our super flyer airplane.
Our little TOP GUN!
After a bit on the beach, we headed to the pool.
I'm too big for this baby pool mom!
Now THIS is more MY STYLE.
Cowabunga!
Dad does THE BEST cannon balls.
Do it again daddy, again!
This is THE BEST family day ever!

Jake, Mom & Dad's adventure...

Jake woke up chasing the bunnies in his jammies.
(Mom did the same thing when she was a kid)
Jake & Mom got breakfast in bed.
 (We have THE BEST dad)
 King Jake.
After breakfast, we headed out to explore the Island.
We got all ready to ride bikes with Mom & Dad.
This kid loves to ride bikes!
We got all set to explore Ding Darling.
(Mom was really excited)
Bikes, check.  Water, check.  Sunscreen, check.
Ding Darling being open, uncheck.
(see what the sign says...yes, we were there on a Friday)
BUT, that didn't stop us.  NO WAY!
We headed out on the fantastic bike trails around the Island.
We found a great little community park.
This was a perfect spot to have a little snack & PLAY.
Did you see this park? WOW!
Jake was a hungry boy.  Dad wondered why the boy
who rode in the bike seat was SO HUNGRY?
Dad was mapping out our route back.
On our way back, we stopped at the
Ding Darling education center.   It was open.
Jake thought this place was pretty cool.
LOTS of buttons to PUSH and things to TOUCH.
Jake got a lesson all about alligators.
Lots to learn at this place.
Yes, there are TWO OF THEM.
(AND I LOVE THEM BOTH)
