Jake hits the lakes...

The house is surrounded by 4 lakes so we spent 2 days exploring...The first stop was Balsam Lake.

Mommy + Jake went exploring on one of the trails.

...a great spot for fishing one day.

Our next stop was Cedar Cliff Lake.

Cedar Cliff Lake was our next stop.

It was a great little spot with a small beach. Another lesson in skipping rocks...

Jake sure enjoyed the water.

He enjoyed it so much we decided to take him on a canoe.

Dada made sure to buckle him up all tight.

Jake was so excited!

Our tour guide was a trooper w/ a bum shoulder and all.

He is a super Dada!

Once Jake got situated he was a big fan.

Mama spent the rest of the ride holding Jake by the buckles.

He got a little too comfortable on the canoe.

We finished the trip with a picnic.

It was a great 1st canoe ride for our boy!
