Our first stop on the trip up was at the Dekker Family Farm
for STRAWBERRY PICKING!
It was a 2 acre farm, w/ plants growing
vertically in hydro-ponic growing systems.
(no bending to pick the berries, peppers or tomatoes)
Jake had a little help from his Uncle Mike.
Jake was VERY GOOD at picking strawberries.
Each kid got a basket (which held 2lbs) and a small pair of scissors.
Some of the pickers might have eaten a few berries along the way.
What a great experience (and so green).
Can't wait for next season.
